The blog works again. Wounded Soldier made me another coke can rocket today. Mom said that we should take it to the sixth grade camp out. In case ya'll have no clue what that is I shall explain. My dad is the director for sixth grade Sunday School and every year they go on a camp out. This years' is next weekend. They go out spend the night and go home. We play games have Bible time and sometimes the games help illustrate a concept. Good food, fun, and this year rockets. Yes I hope to be able to use the rockets. I need to research them to see how I can make em better. We have already learned the White Rain hair spray is the best. Mental note: buy WR hair spray. The nice thing about that brand it that it is the cheapest stuff there is. It works like crud as actual hair spray but it sure can make a coke can go!
Today was reunion Sunday. That was fun. Most of the day I walked around pushing two itty bitties in a stroller. The lady I clean for was in charge of the desert contest so I offered to walk with her little and keep her occupied while her mamma was busy. Jelly fell asleep and would have stayed that way if Lily hadn't kept messing with her. It was funny cause for a while they were both awake squeezed like sardines (well close anyway) in the stroller. Jelly had her arm around Lily. They were takin it all in. It was hotter than all get out today till it rained. The timing couldn't have been much better it rained right when things were starting to dwindle down and the bounce around were being put away. I was able to have some of the flowers that decorated the picnic tables. Pretty sunflowers.
Church service was wonderful. Not only did we have a special guest of David Phelps but our pastor preached out of Romans 1: 8-17. He focused in on verses 16 and 17. It was a wonderful salvation sort of message.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation for every one who believes, for the Jew first and also the Greek,
For in the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, " The just shall live by faith."
Romans 1:16-17
He spoke of why we need not be ashamed or intimidated that we claim Christ as ours. The gospel is based on facts not philosophy. Mind you that it is all foolishness to us unless God reveals it to our heart. The three kinds of righteousness were talked of and of salvation by faith and nothing else. Many times people say " I am saved by faith in Christ's blood and ......" you fill in the blank. Sometimes it is a denominational membership or baptism or some other tradition or ritual. But to say that it is faith in Christ and.. is to mock God. Anyway you shoulda been there. Today I wasn't a good sermon notes day so I am not doing a very good job of relaying the message. I remember it but it isn't coming forth from my finger tips out of my brain. We had so many guests that we had to have extra seats in the aisles and to use the overflow rooms. I was so excited. Not b/c our numbers were up but b/c our pastor preached a salvation message and there more people, at church, than usual to hear it! I pray that God blesses those word, that they would be His words, and that they would convict hearts and draw people to Him. Today was a wonderful Sunday. I have enjoyed in Greatly. One more things pastor's class is going through Proverbs. Enough for now.
